NDIS support

Assist-Personal Activities

Hands on personal care, delivered with dignity and privacy.

What it is

In plain language

Assist-Personal Activities is direct, hands on support with the personal tasks of daily life. It is the help many people need to start the day well and finish it comfortably.

How this support is given matters as much as what gets done. We ask how you like things, we write it down, and we stick to it. That includes who supports you, the order you like tasks done in, and how much you want to do yourself.

Workers are trained in safe transfers, manual handling and infection control, and we work alongside your allied health team so that any equipment or plan is followed correctly.

What this can include

Examples of the support

Support is always tailored, so your plan may include some of these, all of them, or something different again.

  • Showering, bathing, grooming, oral care and toileting support
  • Dressing and undressing, including support with compression garments and orthotics
  • Transfers, hoist use, repositioning and mobility assistance
  • Meal set up, prompting and support to eat and drink safely
  • Medication prompting and support in line with your plan
  • Continence support and skin integrity checks
  • Support with a bedtime routine, including overnight checks where needed
