Privacy policy

How we handle your information.

Solution Care handles personal and health information in line with the Privacy Act 1988, the Australian Privacy Principles and the NDIS Practice Standards.

Last updated: February 2026

Information we collect

We collect the information we need to deliver safe support. For participants this usually includes your name, contact details, date of birth, NDIS number, plan details, goals, health and disability information, support needs, risk information and emergency contacts.

For job applicants we collect your contact details, work history, right to work status, screening clearances and referee information. For website enquiries we collect only what you type into a form.

How we use it

We use your information to plan and deliver your supports, keep you and our workers safe, meet our obligations as a registered NDIS provider, invoice correctly, and improve our services.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

With your consent we share relevant information with your support coordinator, plan manager, allied health professionals, family or nominee. We share information with the National Disability Insurance Agency and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission where we are required to.

We may disclose information without consent only where the law requires it, or where there is a serious and immediate risk to someone's life, health or safety.

How we store and protect it

Records are held in access controlled systems with encryption in transit and at rest. Only staff who need a record to do their job can see it. Paper records, where used, are kept in locked storage.

We keep records for the period required by law, generally seven years after our last service, or longer where the participant was a child at the time.

Accessing and correcting your records

You can ask to see the information we hold about you and ask us to correct anything that is wrong. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request.

If we cannot give you access, we will explain why in writing and tell you what you can do next.

Complaints about privacy

If you think we have mishandled your information, contact us on 0485 551 892 or info@solutioncare.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner on 1300 363 992.
