NDIS and accessibility

Clear information, in the format that works for you.

This page explains how the NDIS works, how to raise a concern, and how to get information from us in another language or format.

I heart NDIS. Registered NDIS Provider.

Registered provider statement

We are a registered NDIS provider

Solution Care is registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Registered providers are audited against the NDIS Practice Standards, follow the NDIS Code of Conduct and must meet worker screening requirements. We can support participants who are agency managed, plan managed or self managed.

Plain language explainer

How the NDIS works

The National Disability Insurance Scheme funds support for people with a permanent and significant disability. Here is the short version.

Getting a plan

  • You apply to the NDIS and they check whether you meet the access requirements
  • If you are accepted, you have a planning conversation about your goals and daily life
  • The NDIS writes a plan with funding in categories such as Core, Capacity Building and Capital

Using a plan

  • You choose the providers you want, and agree what they will deliver in a service agreement
  • Your plan is agency managed, plan managed or self managed, which decides how invoices are paid
  • Plans are reviewed regularly, and you can ask for a change if your situation changes

If any of this is unclear, call us on 0485 551 892. We are happy to explain how it applies to your situation, even if you do not end up using our services.

Feedback and complaints

Tell us when something is not right

You can raise a concern with us at any time, and you can ask someone else to do it for you. Making a complaint will never affect the support you receive.

1. Talk to us

Call 0485 551 892, email info@solutioncare.com.au, or tell any worker. We will acknowledge it within two business days and respond within five.

2. Ask for a review

If you are not satisfied with our answer, ask for it to be reviewed by a manager. You can bring an advocate or a family member with you.

3. Contact the Commission

You can contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at any point on 1800 035 544. You do not need to talk to us first.
